"Journey of a Lifetime.... Beginning with the End in Mind."
"There are a number of very good videos for new parents of babies with Down syndrome. This video is meant for the same audience but it has a unique focus. Karen Gaffney is the principle narrator. She is a lovely and accomplished young woman with Down syndrome who explains from her perspective what it is like to have Down syndrome, how full her life is, and what is important to her. They stress planning for the child's future, creating support systems, and educating yourself about the services and programs available. It is a treat to meet these caring and knowledgeable individuals."

"We love the parts where Karen speaks on the video. We show it to schools in our area to show teachers, principals and counselors what the possibilities can be when children with Down syndrome are fully included in the regular classroom. Our thanks to Karen and the Karen Gaffney Foundation."

"Journey of a Lifetime...." has been a great asset, especially for our Parents of Babies/Young Children with Down Syndrome Support Group. Parents who have recently had the addition of a baby with Down syndrome are sometimes scared and discouraged by what they hear about their baby's future. "Journey of a Lifetime...." offers encouragement and hope. It gives parents some direction and shows them that people with Down syndrome can grow to be very capable and independent individuals."

"Being a parent of a one year old beautiful baby girl with Down syndrome, I would like to thank Karen and her family from the bottom of my heart! I can't put into words how inspiring Karen is to us! She is the most beautiful young woman. She shares with you from your heart in all she says and does. We will continue to share Karen's Journey with all. It is my goal to meet this incredible young woman one day. Thank You!"

"I was at my daughter's school and was unexpectedly confronted by the Special Education Director who asked, among other things, if I really expected my daughter to go to college. Thank goodness I knew about all your hard work and your video, "Journey of a Lifetime....Beginning with the End in Mind" or else I might have answered otherwise! Thank you so much for all your inspiration and your hard work!"
